My "famous" Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Recent requests by my sisters have encouraged me to look up an old cookie recipie. I should change their name to "Peter's Favs" since my Uncle Pervaz is probably their number one fan. The recipe makes about 5 dozen. Iif you do not want to eat them all at once, I suggest making a "cookie dough log," wrapping it wax paper and foil and tossing it into the freezer. The dough lasts forever and anytime you feel like some yummy cookies slice of a few chucks and bake. These cookies are a hit with my family and hopefully they will be a hit with yours too!
- Ingredients:
- . 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour

- . 1/3 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
- . 1 teaspoon baking soda
- . 1/2 teaspoon salt
- . 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
- . 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- . 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- . 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- . 2 eggs
- . Chocolate chips (any kind) try putting a bit of all kinds. Last time I put in Milk chocolate chips and semi-sweet chocolate chunks.
1. Heat oven to 350°F.
2. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
3. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large bowl mixer until creamy. (NOTE: The softer the butter the skinner the cookies)
4. Add eggs to sugar and butter mixture; beat well.
5.Gradually add flour mixture, beating well. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
6. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
Bon Appetit! :-D
